Frequently Asked Questions
How long is an average treatment session? An average full face treatment is approximately 45 minutes. Treatment times may vary if you're targeting specific areas of the face or body.
When will I see results? While part of the results are immediate, the majority of results can start to be seen around 6 weeks post procedure as new collagen and elastin begin to form. Maximum results are 3 to 6 months out.
What treatments or devices does the Density RF aka Denza™ compare to? There are many RF Microneedling devices out there which use Monopolar RF, and show results over time. The RF energy is driven into the skin by the needles at a specific depth. This is an effective treatment, but is quite painful and requires downtime. The Thermage is another device on the market that delivers Monopolar RF without needles. The Density is a newer, more effective device that adds Bipolar RF for additional collagen stimulation and benefits, and adds cryogenic cooling for comfort. Ultherapy uses ultrasound, which is out of date technology that has yet to be developed properly, and is by far the most painful. Compared to other devices, Density RF offers precise energy delivery and customizable settings, making it suitable for a wide range of skin types and concerns. Additionally, Density RF can be combined with other aesthetic treatments, such as injectables and fillers, to enhance overall results and achieve a balanced, harmonious effect.
What should I do to prepare for the treatment? Before your Density™ treatment, it is advisable to arrive hydrated and ensure your skin is clean and free from any lotions, creams, or makeup in the treatment area. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, and follow a skin care regimen based on your individual skin type.
What does the treatment feel like? Density™ features an advanced cryogen cooling that will keep you comfortable during the procedure. However, prior to the start of your treatment, your provider may recommend the use of a topical anesthetic that will further ensure a very comfortable experience. During your Density RF treatment, you can expect a balanced temperature sensation that ensures comfort throughout the procedure. What should I do to maximize my results after the treatment? You should drink plenty of water to enhance the results and aid your body's natural healing process. Normal skincare may be resumed 24 hours post Denza™ treatment. Addition of Vitamin C and Collagen supplements are also helpful.
What downtime should I expect from the treatment? Density™ aka Denza™ treatments typically have minimal to no downtime, with many patients returning to their regular activities shortly after the procedure. However, this may vary depending on the individual and the treatment area.
How many treatments do I need? Every patient’s skin is very different. On average, only one treatment is needed, however, your provider will create a long-term treatment plan based on your individual goals.
What areas can be treated with Density™ also known as Denza™? Denza™ is versatile and can be used to treat a wide range of areas, including the face, eyes, and body. However, radiofrequency is not to be used over any metal implants, screws, artificial joints, people with heart valves, pacemakers, or copper intrauterine devices (for abdominal treatments).
When will I need to come back? Your treatment provider will create a plan based on your individual goals. Most patients choose to come back for a maintenance procedure on a yearly basis. Density RF focuses on 'collagen banking' to build collagen and help prevent future aging. While collagen doesn't wear off, your skin will continue to age naturally.
